Sepang F1 research centre to cost RM60m
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 29 — The development of the Formula One technology research centre in Sepang, including a wind tunnel, will cost between RM50 million and RM60 million, 1 Malaysia F1 Team Sdn Bhd’s team principal Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes said today.
Fernandes said the facility is expected to be ready in two years’ time with construction starting next month.
“I think we are moving in the right direction with progress being very fast,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing Forbes Global CEO Conference, here.
He said the facilities at the FI centre can be used by all local car manufacturers for testing purposes.
